ROMAC
May 31, 2022
Janet Hewson a Canadian, is a retired nurse who has done at least two trips to Vanuatu with ROMAC.
This is a volunteer programme which qualified medical people undertake some amazing treatments for children who often would have very little future without treatment.
The tin which we hand round the tables each week will be counted up and you will be surprised at the sum of what's in that tin but is has been quite heavy. We should hold a sweep stake as to who can guess nearest the amount and the nearest/winner may like to round it up to a significant and generous donation to ROMAC.

![]() Building Intergroup Trust
Jun 07, 2022
Dr Kappmeier received her PhD in Psychology from the University of Hamburg, Germany. Before joining the National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, she completed her post-doctoral tenure in the Psychology Department of Harvard University, USA. How can groups build trust and move towards reconciliation, when their shared past has been shaped by aggression, violence or oppression? This is the question behind Dr Kappmeier’s research and supervision interest which examines intergroup trust and how it can be built upon to improve intergroup relations. Through her research, she had developed the Intergroup Trust Model, which conceptualises intergroup trust as a multidimensional construct. This quantitative model provides a solid basis for understanding how trust between groups can be built but also how it is eroded. |
