Walks of Dunedin
Nov 30, 2021
Dunedin lawyer Antony Hamel is an enthusiastic explorer of the city's many tracks and trails, including those linking heritage attractions in the inner city streets, as well as those on the city's outskirts and crossing nearby mountains. He wrote a book, Dunedin Tracks and Trails, an illustrated guide to Dunedin walks, tramps and mountain bike routes. He will share some of his knowledge first hand and offer some interesting walks over our summer break from the normal club meetings. |

Health and Well Being
Dec 21, 2021
St Clair Walk 1, Start at the Esplanade and finish at the Esplanade. We will gather at the St Clair carpark on the Esplanade, just past the Spirit House Thai restaurant and the Esplanade Motels. The walk is along the top of the sand dunes so be prepared for sandy shoes. Hopefully a hot chocolate/coffee/etc at the end at Starfish. This is half the walk on pages 38 and 39. If keen, and time permits, we could walk along Second Beach. From our talk from Anthony Hamel, I have taken a few of the walks from this handout, Dunedin Selected Walks. Reference to a page number is the page in the booklet. All walks start at 7:30 pm. Family and friends are welcome. I am not sure about dogs, you will have to make your enquiries. My contact number is 0274 360 767 and if you cannot get me or Rajesh, Neville is the alternative. |
